With the rise of
political and religious
extremisms in our
world today, we
would be foolish not
to remember the
lessons of the past!

Love of Money
Digital Art
(Ht 400 x W 282mm)
May 2006

In our society do we
worship money above
everything else? 'The
love of money is the
root of all evil' said
John Wesley in the
17th century. Many
would say that this is
one reason why the
world has gone wrong
today.

Ghost in the Machine
Digital Art
(Ht 372 x W 265mm)
October 2001

Created from two
digital photos of a
steam engine, one of
water in a river and
an old black & white
photograph of the
artist. The complete
image works on two
levels. Close-up you
view the mechanical
working and the
shadowy image of
the engine above. As
you draw back from
the image you begin
to see a human face.
The eyes have a
menacing presence
which cannot be seen
close-up.

Past

January 2001

This image uses a
computer generated
face combined with a
digital photograph of
rusting metal. The
beautiful old master
style face hidden
behind the crumbling
metal invites us to
look at decaying
structures and
imagine the beauty
that was once there.
The five rectangles
(top left corner)
represents the
strength and status
that the metal once
had...
